Product news in Oslo

On Wednesday March 15th and 16th Wennstrom opened the door to FROGN conference room at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotell on Holbergsgate 30 in Oslo. We were happy to welcome installation and service companies, dispenser manufacturers, fuel market consultants as well as representatives from oil companies. A poll at the end of the days showed that the participants were very satisfied with the seminars, finding them informative and useful for their operations.

Ulf Ekelund (Wennstrom) described the Environment Safeguard system and the use of flame arresters at service stations. Environment Safeguard addresses all openings of a storage tank (AST and UST) from a safety and security point of view with products like Outlock and the HSE Interlock valve for safe discharging. With integrated flame arresters and pv-valves the system offers a very cost efficient solution.

Roger Karlsen (Wennstrom) focused on the automatic tire gauge Pneutronic and SENTS – remote level monitoring made easy. Pneutronic has been operating with great results at a number of stations during the winter. The customers are surprised at how easy it is to get the correct pressure in the tires and have given the service station owners very good feedback. And a content customer returns again and again…

SENTS is remote level monitoring made easy. The battery-driven NETRIS telemetry units minimize installation time and the information sent via GSM/GPRS is accessible via the Internet. SENTS can be used for all types of liquids (petrol, oil, AdBlue, water…) and sends alarms to mobile phones and/or e-mail addresses when a tank is going empty or full.

A new product addressing the growing degrading of biodiesel via bacterial growth due to water was also presented. The product is called TORKEL and consists of a drying filter combined with a pressure/vacuum valve. All participants saw immediate needs for TORKEL which has been out in field tests the last three months.

Present was also Jan Ageheim from Petroteknik. He presented product news from plastic pipe manufacturer UPP, now a part of Franklin Fueling Systems, and the wide range of plastic pipes and the accessories such as sumps and boots. Special focus was placed on the coming system for double walled piping called Gemini.

Storage tank days 2011

This years event in Stockholm, Sweden, drew a good number of owners, manufacturers and servicing companies for petroleum tanks. The Wennstrom prototype of a unit for on-site testing of the pressure drop over flame arresters got an excellent reception. With the equipment it will be possible to test flame arresters and define suitable maintenance intervalls.

Environment days in Hämeenlinna

The Finnish Oil and Gas Federation organize Environment Days every third year, this time in the Congress Centre in Hämeenlinna. Wennstrom THT will be present with a stand displaying our Environment Safeguard system for renewable fuels. We hope to meet you there!

Local public transport exhibition in Tampere

With a focus on local public transport this exhibition targets bus companies. Wennstrom THT displayed the new Pneutronic tire gauge as well as fuel management systems with vehicle identification.

Storage tank days in Stockholm

At the beginning of February 2010 the annual meeting of companies owning, manufacturing and maintaining storage tanks for petroleum products was held in Stockholm. The conference attracted a sizeable crowd of professionals.

Wennstrom focused on security and safety around ground tanks and the ES-program (Environment Safeguard) found new customers. Wennstrom was, as expert in the field, given the task of defining suitable maintenance intervals for flame arresters in ventilation pipes at refueling sites.

Automessen in Liliestrøm in Norway

Thank you for visiting our booth at the exhibition. Our products for increased safety and security at service stations and refueling sites, such as Outlock, proved to be winners by attracting a lot of attention. Great interest was also shown for PetroPoint, an automatic and wireless system for vehicle identification as well as SENTS, a method for remotely monitoring a tank.

Branch Days 2012
Stockholm

Wennstrom will exhibit at the ”Branch Days 2012” in Stockholm 19-20 March. The venue is Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre and Christer Fugelsang, Sweden’s most famous astronaut, will be one of the speakers. Host for the exhibition is SPT – The Scandinavian Petroleum Technic Association that organizes the Nordic fuel industry. Wennstrom will focus on filtration and keeping fuels clean.
