Filling elbow with internal G4 connection to pipe systemDifferent countries have different solutions for filling the underground storage tanks (UST) at service stations. In northern Europe it is common practice to use filling elbows normally mounted in a special environmental box. The elbow moves the opening up from ground level which is required during the harsh winters when snow and ice will make an opening at or below ground level difficult to access. The aluminium elbow comes in different angles, with or without integrated dip tube and also in some cases chromed to withstand E85.
Filling elbow with flange connection to pipe systemAs above but for some markets it is better to have a flange to fix the elbow to the rest of the pipework instead of thread. Also available is the 4” sight glass that can be fixed to the filling elbow enabling the operator to clearly see the product being delivered.
